Using natural skin treatments are an effective way to reduce your exposure to nasty chemicals and toxins in a lot of cosmetic products.

The benefits of natural skin remedies are that they do not contain parabens, preservatives, synthetic fragrances, acrylic polymers and petro chemicals all of which can be toxic to your skin, cause allergic reactions and patchiness.

Natural Treatment for Oily Skin

Cucumber and Lime are two natural ingredients that can help assist oily skin. Grate a cucumber and drain the cucumber liquid using a towel. Keep the liquid in a bowl and add to it 1 Teaspoon of Lime Juice. Massage this into your face (being careful of your eyes), let it sink in for 15 minutes then wash your face with warm water, a simple and effect natural skin remedy.

Natural Black Head Treatment

Tea Tree Oil is a great product that will help to clear tough black heads. Make sure you purchase a 100% Organic Tea Tree oil, apply to a cotton wipe and massage into areas that are most affected by black heads. If you look on the cotton wipe you will see all the dirt that the Tea Tree Oil can lift. Make sure you read the ingredients list on the back of your product to make sure it doesn’t contain and preservatives or additives.

Natural Facial Moisturiser

Coconut oil is a great natural moisturiser, you only need a fingernail amount that when rubbed into the skin will turn liquid and become absorbed. Just remember a little goes a long way. Coconut oil will help retain your skins natural moisture levels and can act as a barrier to prevent loss of moisture, it is the perfect natural skin remedy.

  • I like the part with the coconut oil because I’ve been using it on my hair but I never really knew you could use it on your skin. Very useful information that I will be using soon. (:
